We are providing an important update regarding this week’s daily market outlook following meaningful changes observed in today’s U.S. market session.
As shared last Friday, today’s price action was initially expected to open with a downside gap and continue with a volatile downward trend. Under that scenario, the market was projected to experience a series of downward swings through Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
However, today’s actual market behavior has diverged meaningfully from the prior forecast. Although the session opened with a gap down as anticipated, strong buying pressure entered the market almost immediately. This inflow of demand has been sustained throughout the session, pushing the index into positive territory with a strong green daily candle, and current conditions suggest the market is likely to close the day in this bullish structure.
If this upward close is confirmed, the daily trend will successfully enter the Bullish zone, signaling the beginning of a rising trend phase. While minor pullbacks may still emerge, they are expected to remain within a controlled corrective range rather than forming a broader decline. As a result, any downward movement should be limited in depth and duration—much weaker than previously projected.
More importantly, the strength reflected in today’s daily transition increases confidence in the broader weekly outlook. The anticipated strong bullish trend projected to unfold from late January into early February now appears even more probable. Although the week is not yet complete, the positive start significantly strengthens Scenario 1 of our weekly forecast.
