Subject: USMAI Monthly Outlook: Shift to Short-Term Uptrend Amid Broader Volatility_Apr 2026
Dear SPR Premium Subscribers,
The USMAI April monthly trend has closed with a transition into an upward trajectory.
Based on our prior March outlook, April was expected to show a bullish monthly candle; however, it was initially projected to remain within the broader corrective range, reflecting only a temporary rebound. Contrary to that expectation, the geopolitical backdrop—particularly the shift toward a ceasefire phase in the U.S.–Iran conflict and the absence of major military escalation through late April—supported stronger market sentiment. As a result, the market closed April with a more pronounced monthly gain.
This stronger-than-expected price action has effectively pushed the market beyond the prior corrective range, leading to a short-term shift into an uptrend.
While this change in flow suggests the potential for continued upside in the near term, we believe the sustainability of this uptrend may be limited. From a broader perspective, rather than a sustained bullish cycle, May is likely to exhibit a volatile, range-bound environment with alternating upward and downward movements—consistent with the general structure anticipated in our March outlook.
Looking ahead, we expect relatively constructive upward momentum during June and July. However, beginning around July, the monthly trend is likely to transition back into a corrective phase.
From a wider lens, through October–November of this year, the market is expected to move within a range-bound structure, characterized by repeated cycles of limited upside and downside volatility. In this environment, we believe a tactical approach—focused on setting clear price targets, taking profits at appropriate levels, and selectively buying during excessive pullbacks—will be most effective.
Importantly, around October–November, the monthly trend has a high probability of transitioning back into a more sustained bullish phase. This period is likely to represent a critical inflection point for building longer-term long positions.
