Subject: Market Update: Significant Shift in Daily Flow and Implications for Near-Term Outlook

Dear SPR Premium Subscribers,

We would like to provide an important update regarding today’s market action, as a significant shift occurred that may materially affect the near-term outlook.

Today’s U.S. equity market opened with a sharp downside gap and continued to extend losses throughout the session, ultimately closing with a steep decline. From the early stages of trading, the previously stable buy–sell flow structure broke down, and this imbalance persisted into the close. This sustained deterioration in market flow is likely to act as a critical variable for forward-looking projections.

The primary catalyst behind today’s sell-off was renewed geopolitical and trade-related uncertainty. U.S. President Donald Trump announced potential new tariffs on European allies amid escalating tensions surrounding Greenland. This announcement sharply reignited fears of a renewed global trade conflict, similar to last year’s environment, triggering an aggressive risk-off response across markets.

As a result, selling pressure intensified rapidly across major risk assets, with technology, consumer, financial, and industrial sectors all experiencing broad-based declines. In contrast, safe-haven assets such as gold and silver attracted defensive buying and moved higher, reflecting heightened investor anxiety.

As noted over the past weekend, when external, non-market-driven factors disrupt established buy–sell dynamics, daily price action can deteriorate abruptly. Today’s decline significantly increases the probability that our prior outlook may require adjustment.

While confirmation of a broader weekly trend shift will depend on how the market closes by this Friday, it is important to highlight the following: although a continuation of the broader uptrend had been expected this week, the sharp daily breakdown and the rising probability of entering a bearish zone suggest that the weekly uptrend may fail to materialize and instead transition into a corrective phase.

Unfortunately, the sudden emergence of external variables has destabilized investor sentiment and materially increased market volatility. In the short term, daily flow dynamics are likely to remain unstable, which may result in elevated uncertainty and increased variability in near-term forecasts.

We will continue to monitor developments closely and provide timely updates as conditions evolve.

Thank you for your continued trust.

Best regards,
SPRㅣ Stock Pretiming Report team.
