Subject: Update on This Week’s Daily Market Outlook Following Monday’s Price Action
Dear SPR Premium Subscribers,
At the start of trading on Monday, February 2, the market opened with a downside gap. However, buying pressure entered the market quickly, allowing prices to recover a significant portion of the early losses. This buying momentum was sustained throughout the session, ultimately leading the market to close higher.
As a result of this price action, there has been a change to the daily outlook for this week that we discussed last week, and we would like to provide you with an updated view.
In our previous outlook, we expected the market to maintain a generally downward daily trend through the early to mid-week period, followed by a gradual inflow of buying pressure from mid-week, easing the decline and eventually transitioning into a rebound phase.
However, Monday’s session showed a different structure. Buying pressure entered rapidly from the early decline and remained strong into the close. This confirms a shift in the short-term daily outlook.
Under the revised scenario, the rebound phase appears to have begun immediately at the start of the week on Monday. As a result, we expect a short-term rebound to unfold over a limited period. Given the recent increase in market volatility, the duration of this rebound may vary depending on the magnitude of price fluctuations, and sudden trend changes remain possible.
If the buying base confirmed on Monday continues to hold through Tuesday, the current upward movement is expected to extend into Thursday or Friday. From that point, the market is likely to re-enter a downward trend.
At this stage, the observed daily price action is not sufficient to alter our previously outlined weekly trend outlook. As the current move appears to be a temporary rebound, a conservative approach on the upside remains appropriate.
Should daily price action emerge during the week that is strong enough to warrant a change in the weekly outlook, we will provide an immediate update.
