Subject: Weekly Market Update: Strong Rally Amid Easing Geopolitical Concerns

Dear SPR Premium Subscribers,

Following the breakdown of the first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran last Saturday, uncertainty surrounding a potential ceasefire increased significantly. However, starting early this week, President Trump has consistently communicated positive developments regarding the possibility of a second round of negotiations via social media. This shift in tone quickly restored market confidence, leading to strong buying momentum and a powerful upward move.

Notably, during a period when weekly downside volatility had been expected, markets instead reacted to a series of positive developments, including:

  • Progress toward a second round of U.S.-Iran negotiations
  • Announcements regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz
  • Comments suggesting a potential end to the conflict

These factors significantly reduced geopolitical uncertainty. At the same time, oil prices declined sharply, reinforcing positive sentiment and continuously injecting bullish signals into the market.

As a result, the market experienced an exceptionally strong and somewhat atypical rally, with the weekly rebound trend strengthening further and now approaching a transition into the Bullish zone.

However, in the short term, the pace of the recent rally has been excessive, suggesting the likelihood of a near-term consolidation phase within the broader uptrend. While the upward trend may remain intact, momentum is expected to gradually slow, with price action likely shifting toward range-bound movement within a limited downside range.

As we approach the end of April, it is important to reassess our prior outlook. The rebound trend for April has clearly materialized, and in fact, the magnitude of the rally has exceeded expectations. Given that a substantial portion of the anticipated upside has already been realized, short-term resistance to further gains is expected to increase.

At this stage, rather than reacting emotionally to the strong rally, we recommend maintaining a disciplined and measured approach, focusing on position adjustments in preparation for potential opportunities in June.

Thank you.
