Subject: Weekly Market Update: Strong Rebound Signal with Elevated Volatility Outlook
Dear SPR Premium Subscribers,
During the final week of March and the first week of April (March 30 – April 3), the U.S. equity market experienced significant volatility but ultimately closed with a strong upward momentum.
This movement represents a powerful rebound trend reversal signal, aligning with our prior outlook that April would unfold within a rebound trend structure. However, our expectations regarding the nature of this rebound have been adjusted.
Rather than a steady and gradual upward trend, we now anticipate a highly volatile rebound environment, characterized by sharp fluctuations within an overall upward trajectory.
In particular, due to the excessive short-term rally observed this week, there is a strong likelihood of temporary downside volatility through early to mid-April. Following this phase, from mid-April to early May, the market is expected to transition into a more moderate and stable upward rebound trend.
The duration of this rebound phase has also been extended—from the previously expected late April timeframe to early May—though this remains flexible depending on developments in geopolitical conditions, particularly the ongoing war situation.
It is crucial to emphasize that, as previously noted, once this weekly rebound trend concludes—whether in late April or early May—the subsequent transition into a downtrend is likely to be significant. Furthermore, the downtrend expected to begin in May could develop into a strong and sustained decline.
We strongly advise taking this outlook into careful consideration and preparing accordingly.
